A compression bulb seal profile for doors and windows uses a hollow or shaped flexible section to close a designed gap when the sash, panel or frame moves into its working position. The seal must match both the mounting interface and the available compression space.
This product route is different from a glazing gasket that supports glass inside an aluminum channel. If your drawing shows a glass-retaining U section, use the PVC glazing gasket page. If no catalogue section matches, use the custom PVC or EPDM extrusion page.

Compression Seal Specification
| Seal construction | Hollow bulb or shaped compression section with a profile-specific mounting foot |
|---|---|
| Material route | PVC or EPDM option reviewed from the application, approved sample and required test criteria |
| Mounting | Groove, channel, clip or other drawing-defined interface; not assumed from the bulb shape alone |
| Key dimensions | Foot width and depth, free bulb height and width, installed gap and compressed working gap |
| Color | Black and grey sample references; other requirements subject to material and quantity review |
| Supply format | Rolls or cut lengths with section identification and agreed export packing |
Free Gap and Compression Are Separate Measurements
Measure the open gap before contact and the working gap after the door or window reaches its closed position. Excess compression can increase operating force or deform the profile; insufficient contact may not close the intended gap. The acceptable range depends on the exact profile, compound and assembly, so it should be checked on the approved sample.
Also record corner joints, end conditions, drainage paths, hardware clearance and any continuous bends. A seal that fits a straight test section may still require a different section or joining method around a complete frame.
Material and Performance Requirements
Do not select only from the words PVC or EPDM. State the exposure, contact surfaces, expected movement, cleaning agents and any required test method. Temperature, ageing, water, acoustic or fire performance should only be agreed against a defined compound and documented acceptance criteria.
This product is not brush pile weatherstripping. For a T-slot or backing carrying woven pile, use the brush seal range.
OEM Sample Approval and Bulk Orders
Send the frame section, dimensioned gasket drawing, material request, color, length, quantity and packaging. For replacement work, include an undeformed sample and photographs of the installed position. Approve the profile in the complete frame before bulk production.
