The PVC glazing gasket for aluminum windows and doors is an extruded profile used where glass and an aluminum channel require a matched supporting, retaining or cushioning section. It is selected from the actual frame groove and glass assembly, not from a generic window-seal name.

This page covers channel-fitting glazing profiles. For a hollow section that closes against a frame gap, compare the compression bulb seal profile. For a non-standard section developed from a drawing, use the custom extrusion programme.

PVC Glazing Gasket Specification

Product type Extruded glazing gasket or channel-fitting seal for a compatible aluminum frame and glass assembly
Material PVC for this product route; compound and hardness confirmed against the application and approval sample
Reference drawing A 11.2 mm overall height, 7.2 mm outer base, 4.2 mm inner base and 6.5 mm upper reference shown in the supplied drawing
Reference drawing B 13.5 mm overall height, 7 mm outer base and 3 mm inner base shown in the supplied drawing
Color Black and grey photographed references; other color requirements reviewed with quantity and sample
Supply format Roll or cut-length packing according to section, handling and order requirement
Custom matching Customer drawing, mating aluminum section or physical gasket sample

The two drawings are profile references, not universal replacements. A difference in lip angle, internal barb, base width or glass contact can prevent installation even when the overall height looks similar.

How to Confirm the Correct Profile

  1. Identify the mating parts: show the aluminum channel, glass thickness and the installed direction.
  2. Measure the full cross-section: record outer and inner widths, height, lip angles, barbs and contact faces.
  3. State the material requirement: PVC grade, hardness or an approved sample should be linked to the intended environment.
  4. Approve the assembly: check insertion, retention, visible finish and glass contact on a trial section.

For a replacement project, send both an end-on section photo and a straight length. Distorted or aged material can produce misleading measurements, so a short original profile plus the mating aluminum section is preferred.

OEM, Wholesale and Packing Information

Importers and fabricators should specify quantity by section, individual or roll length, label language, inner packing and outer carton requirements. Repeat orders should reference the approved drawing revision and sample rather than only a local product name.

Use the glazing gasket measurement guide to prepare the section. Browse the PVC and EPDM sealing profile range for related OEM routes.
