Custom PU Casting Wheels | 110/120mm OEM Development

PU casting wheels developed to a buyer drawing or approved sample for skate, scooter and related light-equipment programmes. Confirm diameter, tread width, hub or bearing interface, hardness, operating conditions, colour and pack before production.

  • 110 × 24 mm: existing enquiry reference; requires its own approved drawing
  • 120 × 24 mm with 22 mm hub reference: shown on the available dimension image
  • Approximately 78A–95A Shore A: common enquiry range, subject to compound and sample approval

PU casting wheels are developed for buyers who need a polyurethane wheel built around an application, drawing or approved sample rather than a generic stock replacement. This page covers custom large-diameter PU wheel projects for skate, scooter and related light-equipment programmes. The tread compound, core, hub interface, dimensions, colour and packing are defined during the quotation and sample-approval process.

The current photographs show a translucent PU tread on a moulded black core. One available reference drawing is marked 120 mm diameter, 24 mm tread width and a 22 mm hub dimension. The existing page URL also contains a 110 × 24 mm enquiry reference. These are not interchangeable confirmed specifications: tell us which diameter you require and approve the final drawing before ordering.

When a Custom PU Wheel Programme Is the Right Fit

Use a custom programme when a standard replacement wheel does not match the equipment interface, target ride, appearance or brand plan. Importers, equipment makers and private-label brands can reduce avoidable rework by defining the wheel as a controlled component rather than selecting it from a photograph alone.

  • New equipment development: share the installation envelope, axle or bearing interface, operating load, speed and surface.
  • Replacement conversion: send a dimensioned drawing or physical sample and identify the failure you want to solve.
  • Private-label range: define colour, core style, permitted artwork, pack quantity, labels and carton marks.
  • Repeat purchasing: retain the approved drawing, sample and inspection points as the reference for future batches.

Reference Configuration and Approval Table

Parameter Industry or pictured reference What the buyer must confirm
Product type Custom polyurethane tread with an engineered moulded core Application, duty cycle, environment and whether the wheel is supplied with bearings or other hardware.
Diameter and tread width 110 × 24 mm is an existing enquiry reference; the pictured dimension sheet is marked 120 × 24 mm Select one target size and approve a dimensioned drawing with tolerances. Do not infer 110 mm from the 120 mm photograph.
Hub or bearing interface A 22 mm dimension is shown on the pictured sample drawing State whether this is a finished bore, bearing seat or other hub dimension, plus width, tolerance, spacer and axle requirements.
PU hardness Approximately 78A–95A Shore A is a common custom-wheel enquiry range Choose the target durometer and tolerance after balancing grip, deformation, vibration and wear for the actual use.
Rebound Buyer-defined performance target; no universal rebound percentage is assigned Agree the test method, sample conditioning and acceptance value if rebound is a purchasing criterion.
Core construction Moulded polymer or metal-core concepts can be reviewed against the drawing Provide stiffness, weight, impact, hub and appearance requirements; material and tooling feasibility are confirmed in the quotation.
Colour and branding Translucent and coloured tread/core combinations are possible project directions Approve a colour reference, permitted artwork, marking position and acceptable batch variation.
Load and operating conditions No generic kilogram rating is applied to every custom wheel Supply total load, number of wheels, speed, impacts, temperature, chemicals, surface and expected service cycle for engineering review.

Reference values structure the enquiry only. The final quotation, approved drawing, physical sample and agreed inspection criteria define the supplied product.

From Enquiry to Repeatable OEM Supply

  1. Define the duty. Describe the equipment, mounting, surface, speed, load, environment and target annual volume.
  2. Lock the interface. Provide the diameter, tread width, hub or bearing seat, axle, spacer, offset and allowable tolerances.
  3. Select the compound direction. State the required Shore A hardness, grip, rebound, abrasion and temperature priorities. Where a result matters, identify the test method.
  4. Approve appearance and packing. Confirm tread and core colours, artwork, unit pack, labels and carton marks.
  5. Validate a sample. Compare dimensions, fit, rolling behaviour, appearance and any agreed test points before releasing a volume order.

Inspection Points That Protect the Buyer

A useful specification focuses on measurable acceptance points. Depending on the design, these may include overall diameter, tread width, concentricity, hub dimensions, bearing fit, Shore A hardness, visual finish, colour reference and pack count. Any rebound, abrasion, load or life requirement should state a method and acceptance limit instead of relying on broad phrases such as “high performance”.

B2B Value: Control the Cost of a Custom Part

The lowest unit quotation can become expensive if the wheel does not fit, deforms in service or arrives with inconsistent colour and packing. A drawing-led development process helps equipment makers and importers protect margin by reducing sample loops, assembly interruptions, returns and mixed-SKU receiving errors.

  • One approved reference: drawing, sample and purchase order use the same revision.
  • Comparable quotations: competing options are evaluated against the same material, dimension and test fields.
  • Cleaner launches: branding and packaging are reviewed before the repeat order rather than corrected after delivery.
  • Scalable replenishment: controlled specifications make future batches easier to inspect and reorder.

Custom PU Casting Wheels FAQ

Is the wheel 110 mm or 120 mm?

The page has a 110 × 24 mm enquiry reference, while the pictured drawing is explicitly marked 120 × 24 mm. Tell us which size you require and approve the dimensioned drawing; the photograph is not a substitute for dimensional approval.

Can I specify a different Shore A hardness?

Yes, a target within a practical PU range can be reviewed. Approximately 78A–95A is a common enquiry range, but feasibility, tolerance and performance depend on the compound, geometry, core and application. The quotation and approved sample control the supplied value.

Do you guarantee a high-rebound percentage?

Not without an agreed test method and acceptance value. If rebound affects your product, state the required method, conditioning and benchmark so it can be reviewed and confirmed on the quoted sample.

Can the core, hub and colour be customized?

Send the drawing, material preference, bearing or axle interface, colour reference, artwork and expected quantity. Tooling, moulded core options, marking and minimum order are confirmed after technical review.

What should I send for a quotation?

Send a drawing or sample, application, dimensions and tolerances, hardness target, operating load and speed, surface, environment, quantity, destination, colour, branding and packing. Include any required test or inspection document.
