Price is per individual caster, not per complete set. Confirm wheel size, mounting and brake configuration. Complete sets are quoted according to the required number and configuration of casters.

Confirm specification, order quantity and packaging in your inquiry. Freight and import charges are not included.

Move Smoothly, Then Specify the Right Parking Function

TPR swivel casters with brake combine a resilient rolling surface with a foot-operated parking arrangement for mobile equipment. They are a useful choice for commercial furniture, service carts, workstations and hand-pushed industrial trolleys where buyers expect quiet movement and dependable support after the cart is positioned.

Choose the brake function before finalising the purchase specification. A wheel brake, a directional lock and a dual-locking caster do not perform the same job. The blue TPR series can be quoted around the required mount, wheel dimensions and braking arrangement, with common sizes and custom interfaces reviewed from samples or drawings.

Wheel Brake, Dual Brake or Total Lock?

Buyer terminology Required function Quotation check
Wheel brake / side pedal brake Stops wheel rotation; the swivel head may remain free. Confirm which moving component is locked.
Dual brake / dual locking / total lock / full brake Normally means wheel rotation and swivel movement are both restrained. Ask for confirmation of both functions on the quoted assembly.
Directional lock Holds the swivel head in a travel direction, while the wheel may still roll. Do not substitute it for a parking brake.

The photographs show a brake pedal and plate mounting. They do not establish the holding force or prove which parts are locked internally. If you need double ball bearing casters with dual brake, include both the hub-bearing specification and the two required locking functions in the order.

Common Production Sizes

Common market dimensions can be produced, and special sizes can be developed from your sample or drawing. The dimensions below are ordering options, not measurements taken from the photos. Confirm the complete assembly drawing, load rating and mounting fit before approving an order.

Nominal ordering size Common wheel section Brake-clearance check
3 inch / 75 mm 75 × 32 mm Foot access on compact carts and furniture bases
4 inch / 100 mm 100 × 32 mm Pedal sweep, frame edge and wheel turning space
5 inch / 125 mm 125 × 32 mm Swivel envelope and access with the cart fully loaded

Inch labels are common trade names. Specify the required diameter in millimetres: 3, 4 and 5 inch products may be offered as 75, 100 and 125 mm, or as exact imperial dimensions. These are not automatically interchangeable.

Other conventional sizes, including 3.5 inch / 90 mm, can be matched to the installation drawing. A 6 inch project may specify 150 or 160 mm; confirm the actual metric requirement. Larger 8 inch / 200 mm assemblies require their own plate, bracket and brake selection.

Specify the Whole Assembly for Higher Loads

TPR can support projects where high load-bearing capability and quieter movement must be considered together. The working limit depends on the selected tread, core, bearing, steel fork, swivel head and fixing structure. Heavy-duty industrial universal brake wheels therefore need an assembly-specific rating, not a rating inferred from the blue tread.

If your specification asks for 150 kg / approximately 330 lbs per caster, 200 kg or 250 kg, state that as the required load along with the actual route and loaded equipment weight. These values are quotation targets, not published capacities for every 75, 100 or 125 mm caster shown here. Use the TPR caster load and size guide to prepare the request.

Ordering detail Why it matters
Steel top plate or other mounting Plate size, hole centres and overall height must fit the equipment. For screw mounting, see the threaded-stem configuration.
Thread guards and bearing covers Help define the protection required around the axle; confirm the actual supplied parts.
Plastic core and bearing arrangement State double ball bearings if required; distinguish hub bearings from swivel raceways.
Tread and finish Confirm blue colour, tread profile, steel finish and the environment. Stainless steel is a separate material requirement.
Packing Identify quantities of each brake orientation, carton labelling and any fixing hardware required.

Bracket Finish for the Working Environment

Specify zinc-plated steel or another agreed bracket finish in the quotation. For humid storage, wet cleaning or corrosive exposure, identify the environment and ask for the relevant finish or material specification. The blue wheel colour does not establish the metal finish.

Purchasing Questions

Can this replace a 4 inch flight-case brake caster?

It can be considered when the plate pattern, installed height, wheel clearance and brake access match. If ordering the complete case arrangement, use the flight-case caster set page so all positions are specified together.

Does “rubber brake” identify the wheel material?

No. It may describe a brake contact pad or simply be shorthand for a braked rubber wheel. Confirm TPR tread and the actual brake mechanism separately.

What should a brake sample check include?

Check wheel and swivel restraint as specified, pedal access, release action and repeat operation on the intended equipment. A parking brake is not a transport tie-down; specify separate restraint for shipment.
